Guided Tours
Join one of our experienced guides on a 30-minute tour around Tanganyika. Tours meet Kansas State Science Standards for grades K through 5. Tours for younger and older groups are also available and are tailored to the age of your group. Please note, Guided Tours may only be scheduled Monday through Friday during the Park's "open" season (March – November).
Cost: Free with Park admission of $6.00 per person

Animal Ambassador Programs
These 30 to 45 minute programs for all ages feature live animals and artifacts. Each program is written to meet Kansas State Science Standards. Longer programs (up to 1 hour) and alternate topics may be available upon request.
Cost: $200 for school groups (including pre-schools and home school groups)

Tanganyika Talks
During these 30 to 45-minute assembly-style programs, Tanganyika staff will present a fun, informative, and interactive lesson featuring two live animal visitors. Participants will be able to interact with at least one animal visitor.
Cost: $100 per class session (limit 200 students per session)

Preschool Students
Little Crawlers
Introduce your preschool students to the natural world through an exciting program involving games, activities, demonstrations, and animal encounters. These programs are 45 minutes long and can be held at Tanganyika or in your classroom.
Cost: $50 per class session (limit 25 students per session)

Elementary Students
Wild About Reading
During these 45-minute classes, students will experience a great book, meet animal visitors, and discover something about the natural world. These programs are designed for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade and are available at Tanganyika or in your classroom.

Creature Feature
Students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade will discover the natural world through games, animal encounters, and hands-on activities. Classes are 1 hour long and are offered at Tanganyika or at your school.

Wildlife Warriors
3rd through 5th grade students will explore the natural world through games, animal encounters, and hands-on activities. Classes are 1 hour long and are offered at Tanganyika or at your school.

Secondary Students
Science Stars
Middle school and high school students will participate in activities, hands-on lerning, and animal encounters during these interactive and informative classes. Classes are 1 hour long and may be held at Tanganyika or at your school.
Cost: $50 per class session (limit 50 students per session)

Teacher Resources
Staff Development Workshops
These workshops are designed to help Elementary and Secondary teachers incorporate environmental education into their curricula. During this 1.5 hour class, Tanganyika staff will discuss environmental education techniques, highlight the importance of the outdoor classroom, and introduce you to 2 special animal visitors.
Cost: $100 for a workshop held at your facility. FREE with any facility rental at Tanganyika.
