Tanganyika is the most interactive zoo in the Midwest. We offer 10 animal encounters and are adding more every year. We are the only place in the US with an interactive ring-tail lemur island as well as the the sole location where you can feed Indian rhinos and pygmy hippos.

Tanganyika partnered with VisitWichita and national experts to meticulously craft intimate animal encounters that will connect you to the animal kingdom. Learn about Tanganyika’s success with species survival and breeding programs. Go behind the scenes to touch and feed the rare okapi or join the penguins in Trouble Maker's Cove as they paint at beautiful masterpiece. More experience coming!
